Looking for something a little more off the beaten path? White Rock Lake offers visitors a break from the urban setting, with 9.33 miles of hiking and biking as well as a gorgeous landscape. Katy Trail, once an abandoned railroad, is one of the Dallas area’s premier locations for jogging, biking, skating, and walking in the city. The Dallas Arboretum, with 66 acres of gorgeous plant life and even a complete life science laboratory, is a must-see in the area.
Near Wildcat Ranch there’s entertainment for the whole family’s taste. With two minor league baseball teams (the Frisco Roughriders and the Grand Prairie AirHogs) and a major league team (the Texas Rangers), there will be many ball games to attend.
